I’ve been doing a bunch of deleting of RAW files on my computer to make space for lots of new pictures. I found these from Thanksgiving that I haven’t posted on Facebook yet and decided to blog them! 🙂 We had a really nice day, just the four of us, and cooked a turkey for the first time. I’m so glad I have these pictures or I might have forgotten how sweet Paul and Xander were, working on dinner together, and how adorable Jasper was riding the scooter.
I want very much to share these pictures tonight and the words I’m coming up with aren’t doing justice, so I’m hoping that you see in the pictures how amazing these little miracle babies are and how strong and loving they and their parents are. I am so grateful to have been invited into their home to photograph their every day life, and I can’t wait to watch then continue to grow and thrive.

The pictures of Claire, Connor, Erin & Casey captures the true beauty of this amazing family…with all they have gone through, it is unbelievable to see how far these little miracles have come! Erin & Casey have done a wonderful job of parenting & should be so very proud of themselves!
So nice Mrs. Sullo! Connor had a great Dr. Appointment today too!
These are wonderful pictures @[1045152322:2048:Erin MacMahon Crooks]. Absolutely adorable!
Love the pictures. So happy to see Maegan Dougherty Photography has been able to capture Bauer’s baby cousins and family too! We love Maegan Dougherty.
I was so happy to spend time with this family again in the fall, and then to receive their Christmas card with not just one, but a bunch of these pictures on it! How cute are the kids in their hoods?
Their dog is so pretty and sweet. Almost made me want to get a dog.
When I first moved to New York, I had a nanny job while going to Baruch and working at a life insurance company. I lived with the family and helped take care of the 4 year old boy and 7 and 8 year old girls. Photographing these three kids is always like a flash back to those days.
You can see pictures of this family from previous years here and here. It’s so much fun to look back!
I had spent some time with this mama and knew before our session that I was going to love photographing her family. Then I got to their house. If I could have a home built and decorated to my liking specifically for me to photograph a family in, in would very much like theirs. 🙂
(I thought a lot about whether I wanted to mention that because I do want all families to be photographed in their homes. No matter how big or small, cluttered or immaculate, perfectly decorated or not, dim or full of natural light, your home is where you live and love and make so many special memories. It’s so important and special to capture some of those.)
So, I loved their house. Then I saw the baby girl, wearing the exact same amber necklace as Jasper has, and the little boys getting an apple out of the fridge, washing it, cutting it with a kid-friendly knife, and eating it with their quinoa for breakfast, and I was so happy to be there.
And then I saw their playroom. Not sure if the mom in me or the photographer in my liked it more.
Their Christmas tree was completely toddler and preschooler friendly, with all felt and wooden ornaments. Love this idea!
I would love to have this picture of myself, nursing my baby, while big brother holds my hand.
Even better than the house and the things in it were the people in it – parents who let this be the type of child-led family portrait session I most enjoy to shoot, who understand the value of having photographs that show the story of their everyday life, and sweet kids who were completely comfortable and relaxed.

Beautiful pics!
I wish I had had something like this when my kids were little – now I have a granddaughter making so many families happy, and giving them something precious to hold on to when they get to be grandparents! Beautiful work, Meg!
Thank you, Grandma!
I love photographing families.
love the pictures and seeing all your beautiful smiling faces. Can’t wait to see all of you in person soon. xoxo
