I loved this shoot and I love these pictures.  🙂  I think this sweet baby boy is going to have a wonderful childhood, growing up in this beautiful home (with awesome natural light!) in a small town by the beach, with two parents who adore him and will take him for walks to the park at the end of the hiking trail behind their backyard.

If you are reading this on Small Business Saturday, November 30th, be sure to check out the special I posted on Facebook!  It’s perfect for anyone expecting a baby in early 2014.  I would love to come to your home to photograph your family with your tiny new addition!

sweet! I think the baby looks like the mama!

I am doing some computer clean up tonight and realized I never blogged this Mommy and Me Mini Session from August.  This was special because I had also photographed this mama with her son, an Under The Nile model of mine, at the same age.  Aren’t they pretty?

There’s something about blogging pictures that makes me fall in love with them even more.  I can look at these over and over and I notice new details I love about them each time.  Like the big brother’s little white t-shirt and the look on his face while he’s working with his Legos and his Play-Doh.  And the baby’s brother’s big newborn eyes, the cozy bedroom baby-ready with the co-sleeper next to the bed.  The time with dad and big brother because newborns nurse for such a long time (don’t worry, we got some nursing pictures!)  🙂  And how beautiful the mom looks adoring her guys.

What do you notice that makes you smile?

These pictures are very special to me.  I look at them and smile.  Because the family is special to me.  I was there the day the baby brother was born.  And because the mom and I have become good friends.  And because the pictures and the family in them are so authentic.  This is a real, relaxed and comfortable family having a good time together.  This is the beautiful reality I want to capture for families.  I love helping them see how awesome they are.
