If you have little kids and you live in Northern NJ and you haven’t been to Brookhollow’s Barnyard yet, put it on your list of really fun things to do with the kids! The boys and I went last week and loved it. We got lucky and were one of about five families there, since it was a weekday and it was about 90 degrees. We’re looking forward to visiting again once we’re home from Montana!

The highlights? Everything you see below! Having a baby goat following us around was awesome. I loved the little buildings for the kids to play in – one filled with corn, another with trains, and a beautiful fully-stocked playhouse. The boys were super excited about the tractors that they could drive, the train and hayride (I didn’t get pictures), and I thought the clothesline with tubs of water for doing laundry was adorable. And there were animals and a big shady sandbox with toys, and just so many thoughtful details and areas to explore that made it a magical 2.5 hours (totally would have stayed longer if it weren’t such a hot day) for the kids and me. 🙂

Wow Maegan! Your boys are sooooo cute and you are an awesome mommy and photographer! So excited to go there tomorrow!!!

I enjoyed my recent afternoon of breastfeeding portrait sessions so much that I’ve decided to have another in June. This is the perfect opportunity for you to capture some sweet pictures of you and your nursling(s) together, nursing, snuggling, and being your adorable selves. That precious face looking up at you, the way your little one holds on to you or plays with your hair – I’d love to help you remember those moments forever.

Each session includes one mama and her nursling(s)

Outdoor location in Northern New Jersey to be determined

$125 for a 15 minute photo shoot and an online gallery of 10 pictures to choose from. You receive 3 high resolution files and the option to purchase the additional 7 for $75.

Here is one awesome mama and her happy little guy (plus one picture of big brother)!

A friend of mine is moving soon, away from the home where she gave birth to her little boy. Yesterday Jasper and I went to their house for a playdate, and I brought my camera. She shared some memories with me of her son’s birth, and I took a couple pictures of the two of them together, in the room where he was born. His name and date of birth are also inscribed on the floorboards in the attic above the room.  ♥
