It’s so wonderful to shoot close to sunset! I’m loving these pictures, and I’m so glad this family was able to meet me at Van Saun Park in Paramus for a fall family mini session!
This little guy is a year old now! I photographed his beautiful birth and loved capturing his family together at home a couple weeks later. These pictures are from his newborn session last year. I like seeing the signs of fall in the pictures, and the reminders of what life is like with a newborn at home.
One of my clients last weekend suggested Eagle Rock Reservation for her family’s photo shoot. I hadn’t been there, so I brought the boys along for some exploring. They hiked while I was with my clients, and then we hung out. I was loving that we can go pretty much anywhere and be outdoors and we enjoy it, and the boys make their own fun. Jasper opened the backpack he had packed by himself, got comfortable on the ground, and started coloring and gluing. He also had a long-time favorite book about animals to look through. Xander suggested a game of charades, made a scoreboard, and whispered the answers to Daddy because he wanted him to win.
We admired the amazing city view and talked about 9/11 while we looked at the memorial.
I was so happy to see this family again over the summer. I loved documenting a couple hours of their weekend!
Sometimes this room drives me crazy. We call it the boys’ office, because it was our office before we turned it over to Xander and Jasper. It is packed full of way too many toys. Almost always an overwhelming disaster.
And then sometimes I see it in a different way. With Jasper’s smiling face lit up by the sunshine coming through the windows. His little bare feet on the paint speckled floor. The table and chairs chipped, painted and stickered from a few years of being used for art and as airplanes and rocketships. And the happy and carefree feelings that come along with time for creativity and free play.
I love everything about it! <3
Thank you for capturing such great pics! It was an experience! Lol
