I have such a great time meeting and getting to know the families I photograph. I so enjoyed my time with this one – sweet, bright kids who like to sing and talk, and parents who are generous and kind and inspirational.
They reminded me about one important tip to keep kids happy during a photo shoot…and even during an average day. Feed them healthy snacks often!
One of the cool things about being on maternity leave is that I’ve had time to do things I don’t usually have a chance to. One evening I went to a workshop hosted by this mom, Erica, about healthy meals for busy families. It was a fun night out for me and I took away several little tips that have made it easier for us to eat closer to the way we should be eating. I also joined one of her Tuesday morning Walk and Talk sessions. Jasper and I enjoyed a nice walk and conversation with a few other moms.
