I’m very happy to report that this mama and her twin girls, whom I photographed for their first Birthday, second Birthday, third Birthday, fourth Birthday, and fifth Birthday, are getting their sixth Birthday session and CD for free!  Thank you to everyone who voted for them and thank you to their mom for all these years of support!

Second, I though of my Aunt Marianne, who had asked me to take family pictures for her.  I told her I would when I had some extra time, and since I was nearing the end of the fall rush, I decided the time was now, before her boys, who are 17 and 12, are officially men.

I went to their house on a lovely Sunday afternoon and had the best time with them.  Sadly, I had barely ever really talked to these cousins of mine, who live only a mile a way and are such smart, sweet, cute boys.  So I loved learning about what they like to do and how they spend their time, and I enjoyed capturing lots of family laughs!

This year’s contest will be open until January 8th at 9pm.

They have so many reasons to be thankful this year.  Not long ago, they were hoping to add to their family of three.  A few short years later, they are a family of six, with a caring and generous big brother, a fun and friendly 5 1/2 year old, and two precious, beautiful little girls.

Mom won a mini session with me this fall and it happened to be during the week that their son’s adoption was finalized.  I was honored to be a small part of the celebration.  Unfortunately, Dad was away that weekend, and I had to cut our shoot a little bit short when I got a call from Paul that he and Xander were on the way to the hospital.  (Xander had his first bicycle accident and needed stitches on his chin.  He was so brave and is all better now!)

Mom was completely understanding and texted me later to make sure everything was okay.  She’s one of those people you could just talk to all day and who so obviously adores her family and is absolutely wonderful to every member.

Last Thanksgiving we enjoyed a quiet day at home catered by Whole Foods.  Today we’re looking forward to a relaxing, sweatpants-wearing day with family and new friends.  Have a happy day, everyone!  I’m so thankful to you for reading my blog!
