Apple Picking at Pennings Orchard – NJ Photographer

We’ve been talking about going apple picking for weeks and yesterday was the day! It was a perfect fall day and we went to Pennings Orchard in Warwick, NY for apple cider donuts, animals, pumpkins, kettle corn and apples!

Xander loves dogs. This one, Louie, was so nice that he almost made me want to get one of our own. Almost. Xander even gave him a kiss.

Xander learned a new word: Apple! Today he’s using it to mean almost everything.

Had so much fun “outside” with mommy and “Dat-dee!”

I had the pleasure of photographing (and talking and running and playing with) four sweet little boys and their sweet parents during our mini sessions at Reeves-Reed Arboretum in Summit yesterday. I’ll probably post more during Xander’s nap this afternoon, but just wanted to quickly show this picture that made me smile!

I had such a good time with everyone at my May Mini Sessions that I’m already having another day of Minis in less than two weeks!

These will be held on June 26th at Lombardo Farms in Gillette, NJ. If you live in Summit, Madison, New Providence, Berkeley Heights or Morristown (or anywhere else close or you don’t mind going for a pretty drive), these are for you! Come for family pictures and see the pig, bunnies and chickens, and buy a homemade pie while you’re there!

$150 Session fee includes:

20 minute portrait session

Loved – NJ Family Photographer

I LOVED this mini session! I’ve been sitting here trying to figure out which of the images to blog because I LOVE so many of them. This family was a photographer’s dream. They ran and tickled and laughed and hugged and were totally natural and fun and loving…not to mention adorable! And look at what they wore. Perfect. I had a wonderful time with them and even told the mom I want to schedule a playdate because I think we should be friends.

Newborn Natalie – NJ Newborn Photographer

I photographed big brother Nicholas during his first year, and am so happy to be doing the same for his newborn baby sister, Natalie. I love watching families grow, and I love forming such a special bond with them as their photographer.

Natalie fit so perfectly in her big brother’s lap.

Tomorrow I get to meet newborn Leila, who happens to be Natalie’s cousin and the baby of my cousin!

Bronx Zoo

It was a beautiful day for the Bronx Zoo yesterday. The highlights were playing with Xander in the children’s zoo and then watching him make a new friend!

Organic Toy Giveaway – Under the Nile

For this past Christmas, Xander’s first, Paul and I decided to shop separately for our gifts for Xander. This way we both would be surprised and excited, since Xander was more interested in the wrapping paper tubes anyway. During a super successful trip to the mall that I was so proud of (I had like 9 bags in 30 minutes), I found a bin of the softest, cutest stuffed fruits and veggies and I fell in love with a little green bean that become a stocking stuffer. Xander loved it, too…

I took the tag off before giving the bean to Xander, and I kept it to google the company, which I often do when I buy something I like and am not familiar with the brand. I read about Under the Nile and was totally touched by the 13 Vilages Project, and I sent an e-mail to say how much Xander was enjoying his bean.

Fast forward to this week when I received a copy of the Under the Nile catalog with one of my pictures on the cover! This project was such a fun experience and the people at Under the Nile are amazingly sweet and wonderful to work with. A special thank you to my gorgeous baby models and their fabulous parents!

…Ava!!!

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this little beauty for the past three years. Not only is she adorable and photogenic and the perfect little subject, her parents are wonderful and super cute, and her grandparents are welcoming and fun and offer to make me breakfast! I can’t wait for my next shoot with Ava, when she will be a BIG SISTER! Here are some pictures of Ava over the years…

Second place goes to Maxyne!

Maxyne had such a big lead for several days that when I checked the results just after the poll closed last night at 7:00, I was surprised to see that Ava had won by ONE vote! Maxyne was SO close! I don’t think her mama will be too disappointed, though. Not only does she get the prize for second place – she is the winner of the free mini session!!!
