As I was driving home from this newborn session last weekend, I felt so happy. I really like driving fast on the parkway and singing (it was mostly old country songs and 90s music that day), I was loving the cookies that my client gave me (soooo nice!!! and I even managed to save some for Paul and Xander), I was on my way home to my boys, and I had just spent part of the afternoon photographing this perfect tiny newborn girl and her family exactly the way I want to be photographing newborns and families. Here they are in my style…and their style…

Newborn Nate – Bergen County Newborn Photographer

I know, I know…I still haven’t blogged about my tiny new Valentine, Jasper! Blog post and pictures coming soon. I am having the best time with him and love every little thing about him. Being at home with him and having more time with Paul and Xander – I am so lucky and happy and am completely treasuring this time.

I didn’t think I’d be up for a client session until a month or so after his birth, but I was feeling great and very excited to meet baby Nate, who was born nine days after Jasper. This is another one of those families that I really enjoy spending time with, and every session with them is so special, as their family continues to grow. Yesterday I met these three month old twins. They are both so completely adorable and sweet, with their big blue eyes and their personalities. I loved talking to them and holding them. Mom and I were so excited to get them both to sleep at the same time for some sleeping baby shots. Then they woke up and made more cute faces, and Dad joined for family pictures.

Newborn Dexter | Bergen County NJ Newborn Photographer

This new mom and dad are friends with the director of Xander’s daycare. We love his daycare and the director is wonderful, and I totally hit it off with her friends and could have talked to them all day about books and breastfeeding and birth and other baby and non-baby stuff.

Here are some of the pictures from my time with them and their baby Dexter…such a great name!

I’m doing a shoot this morning for the next Under The Nile catalog. I’ve been a little bit (extremely) last minute about it, and I’m still looking for some models (about 4-8 months) for tomorrow. Let me know if you’re interested!

Super heroes make great big brothers…at least this one does.

I took this shot of mom and baby as I was packing up to leave. It’s one of my favorites from the day.

Pure joy…

This little girl has amazing hair (like her mom), hugged me when I’d been there only a few minutes, drew a picture of “a bad guy,” and wanted to be a princess in her purple tutu. Precious.

So glad they invited me into their home to capture these moments.

Saturday I met the tiny bundle of perfection that is baby Jordan.
Look at these little baby toes…
Mom and Dad are pretty happy to have him around.

This past weekend I met baby Ana. What a lovely session to have as my first of 2011.

Isn’t she perfect?

While Mama was feeding Ana, I hung out with Daddy and big brother Dean, whose newborn pictures I photographed two and a half years ago. He’s so cute.

He loves Star Wars. Thank you guys for continuing to allow me to photograph your beautiful, growing family!

A quick blog post before bed…

How could you have anything but sweet dreams after looking at this precious little guy?

This was my favorite moment from Luca’s newborn session. His mom was about to hand him over for some Luca and Daddy pictures, and Luca put his hand on her chest, as if to say “Keep holding me, Mama.” Looking at this picture and thinking of that moment gives me that teary-eyes, pulling on your heartstings, warm and fuzzy kind of feeling. I’m so lucky to be a mom.
