Casting Call! NJ Commercial Photographer

I’m excited to be doing another set of photos for Under the Nile!  I had so much fun meeting my models and their families for our shoots earlier this year.

This time I am looking for several models between the ages of 6 months (must be able to sit unassisted) and 2 years.  The model candidates (and Mom or Dad) must be available for a shoot on Saturday, August 14th in Bergen County, NJ (time and exact location to be determined).  Models whose pictures are chosen for the catalog will receive two Under the Nile outfits.  The parents of all the models who are chosen for a photo shoot will receive high resolution digital files of three pictures from the shoot (chosen by me), for printing and sharing on Facebook!   Plus it’s really fun.:)

If you would like your little one to be considered, please send me an e-mail (maegandougherty@gmail.com) with a picture of your child and his or her name, age and clothing size.  If you have a baby, please let me know if he or she is standing and walking yet.

Feel free to share this with any of your friends who might be interested!

Here is our cutie cover girl from last season’s catalog!

Tonight – NJ Lifestyle Family Photographer

Tonight I sat on the floor and took pictures as Xander had Paul chase him toward me over and over again. Life is good.

Xander and his blue bamboo truck – NJ Baby Photographer

My amazing husband spent his day off staining our deck this week.  Not only does is look awesome, but we can now walk on it with bare feet with no fear of splinters!  We haven’t put the grill and furniture back on it yet, so early in the evening yesterday we went out and took advantage of the open space.  Might just have to leave the furniture on the grass!  We bought this super cute blue bamboo truck at Imagination Station when we were in Kalispell at Easter time.  It was Xander’s favorite toy of the day yesterday.  It’s made by Hape Toys and availalble on this great website (http://www.oompa.com/) I just found while googling!

I love these three shots that Paul took.  You can’t tell here because he’s holding onto his truck, but Xander gives the best hugs, with his arms wrapped around our necks.  Before he could walk, I looked forward to the day I would come home from work and he would run to meet me at the door and hug me.  He does that now. :)

Family – Bergen County, NJ Family Photographer

I have such a great time with extended family sessions.  This one made me want to have three more children so that one day, Paul and I, our kids and grandkids can all get together at our home and have as much fun as these guys did Friday night.  I loved how focused this beautiful family was on simply playing with the kids and enjoying each other’s company.  It was the perfect environment for creating the memories I wanted to capture!

Thanks for the comment, Andrea! At one point, the grandma was sitting with her all grown up son, and next to them were a mom with a 4 year old son and a mom with a baby son. It makes me teary just thinking about Xander growing up, but it was so special to see moms with sons at different ages and get some reassurance that he’ll always be my baby!
